Create your own deliciously golden and crunchy prawn toast. This dish is best prepared and served with Lee Kum Kee Seasoned Soy Sauce for Seafood as a dipping sauce. This is the type of snack or side that's extremely hard for anyone to turn down.

Ingredients

70g sesame seeds
2 tsp oil
½ day-old baguette, sliced into 1cm rounds
For prawn paste:
200g raw prawns, shelled
3 spring onions, chopped roughly
3 garlic cloves, crushed
2 tsp oil
1 egg
1 Tbsp ginger, grated
a generous pinch of salt & pepper

Dipping

4 Tbsp sweet chilli sauce
2 tsp ginger, grated

Method

1 Mix dipping sauce ingredients together in a small bowl. Set aside. Add prawn paste mix ingredients to a blender and blitz until smooth.
2 Pour sesame seeds into a wide bowl.
3 Drizzle oil over baguette slices then coat one side with the prawn paste (about 1 ½ tbsp per slice), then dunk in sesame seeds until evenly coated.
4 Preheat the air fryer to 370°C. Place 4-5 sesame prawn toasts, prawn side up, in the air fryer tray and air fry for 5-7 minutes, until golden on top and cooked through. Repeat in batches with remaining sesame prawn toasts.
5 Serve sesame prawn toasts hot with the dipping sauce.

Tips

1 You can use any leftover bread, sliced to your desired size and shape.
2 You may need to take a blade out of the air fryer to stop the prawn toasts from moving.
