Roast Chicken in Soy Bean Sauce

A British tradition with fusions from the west makes a tasty dinner centrepiece. Before roasting, the whole chicken is first marinated in our signature Lee Kum Kee Soy Bean Sauce. This dish is extremely easy to prepare and cook at home to enjoy with the family or friends with very minimal fuss.

Ingredients

1 whole chicken, about 1.3kg

Marinade

15ml water
2 tsp sugar

Dipping

60ml water
1 tsp corn flour

Method

1 Wash the chicken and pat dry it with a kitchen towel. Mix the marinade thoroughly and coat the internal and external of the chicken evenly. Leave it to marinate for 2 hours.
2 Roast the chicken for an hour at 200°C in a preheated oven. Baste the chicken with oil occasionally and roast until thoroughly cooked.
3 Incorporate all the dipping ingredients over a medium heat and serve once ready.
