This honey pork jerky is a great oven-baked, sweet Chinese snack. Homemade jerky is much healthier than store-bought jerky as there are no preservatives, this means you can enjoy extra pieces without worrying too much. Lee Kum Kee Char Siu Sauce is the secret to the authentic taste of barbequed pork.

Ingredients

300g Half fatty pork, minced
2½ Tbsp Honey

Marinade

2 tsp Sugar
1½ tsp Corn starch
A pinch of white pepper

Method

1 Marinate minced pork for 1 hr. Spread minced pork on baking paper and cover with cling wrap. Flatten with a rolling pin into a 2mm thick square. Discard the cling wrap and place the minced pork together with baking paper on an oven tray.
2 Bake pork at 150°C preheated oven for about 20 mins. Take out and turn the pork over on another new baking paper and bake for another 15 mins or until done. Remove from oven.
3 Turn the oven temperature to 170°C. Brush with honey on both sides. Bake each side for 4 mins.
4 Remove and allow to cool. Cut into smaller pieces and serve.
