This Apple punch with Plum Sauce is perfect for the winter festive season. Lee Kum Kee Plum Sauce isn't just for cooking- it adds warming winter flavour to drinks too.

Ingredients

1L fresh apple juice
2 oranges, cut into quarters
10 cloves
5 cardamom pods, crushed
4 cinnamon sticks
2 star anise
2 Tbsp honey
1 tsp grated nutmeg
2 smoked plums or dried prunes (optional)

Thin orange slices

Method

1 Pour the apple juice into a pan and gently squeeze in some of the juice from the orange quarters. Add cloves, cinnamon,t cardamom, star anise, honey and prunes.
2 Gently simmer for 30 minutes. Add grated nutmeg and strain.
3 Stir in the Plum Sauce then serve garnished with orange slices.

Tips

1 Balance the taste by adding extra orange or lemon juice.
2 This drink is suitable for vegetarians. Replace honey with sugar to
make this suitable for vegans.
