Sweet and Sour Meatballs with Water Chestnuts

Ingredients

200g Minced pork
80g Water Chestnuts, finely chopped
10g Ginger, finely chopped
10g Leek, finely chopped
2 Tbsp Vegetable Oil
Toasted Sesame seeds and chopped spring onions, to garnish

Marinade

1 Tbsp Shaoxing rice wine or dry sherry
1 Tbsp Corn starch

Seasoning

2 Tbsp Sugar
2 Tbsp Water
1 Tbsp Shaoxing rice wine or dry sherry
1 Tbsp Corn Starch

Method

1 Mix all the ingredients with marinade except sesame and spring onion, then shape into meatballs.
2 On a medium high heat pan, add the oil and fry the meat balls until cooked.
3 Add sauce mix into a sauce pan and bring to boil.
4 Add meatballs and cook until sauce coats the meatballs. Sprinkle with sesame and spring onions and serve.
