Pan Fried Steak with Roasted Broccoli with a tangy shallot sesame dressing

Ingredients

400g Bavette Steak/ flank steak
175g Tenderstem broccoli
1Tbsp Vegetable oil

Marinade

Steak Marinade
Broccoli marinade
1 Tbsp  Vegetable oil
pinch of Black Pepper

Dressing

Shallot, finely diced
lime juice
1 Tbsp  Freshly shredded coriander leaves

Method

1 Marinate the steak in Lee Kum Kee Premium Oyster Sauce , leave in the fridge for 1 hour.
2 Pre-heat oven to 200°C / fan190°C / gas 5. Trim the ends from the tenderstem broccoli and mix with the marinade then roast in the oven for 15 minutes, turning over halfway. Set aside.
3 Heat a large frying pan over high heat, brush the steak with oil then cook 2-3 minutes on each side for medium rare or for an additional minute for medium. Remove from pan and leave to rest for 10mins.
4 Thinly sliced the steak and assemble on the plate with broccoli.
5 Whisk the dressing ingredients together and dress on the steak then serve immediately.

Tips

1 Use sliced firm tofu, aubergine or Portobello mushrooms with Lee Kum Kee Mushroom Vegetarian Stir-Fry Sauce will work well for vegan alternative!
