Elevate your Chinese New Year feast with crispy Hoisin Ribs, golden Prawn Toasts, and creative Tofu Treasure Boxes. Perfect finger food trio for entertaining!
Hoisin Ribs
1. Marinate pork ribs and chill for at least 2 hours, ideally overnight.
2. Preheat oven to 200°C (180°C fan).
3. Place ribs on a wire rack over a baking tray and roast in the middle of the oven for 20 minutes, then flip.
4. Brush with glaze and roast for 10 more minutes or until cooked.
5. Let ribs rest for 5 mins before serving.
Prawns Toasts
1. Pat dry the cleaned prawns with kitchen paper.
2. Flatten prawns using the flat side of a knife.
3. Mix flattened prawns with marinade until sticky and refrigerate.
4. Lightly score the underside of whole prawns to keep them straight when cooked.
5. Mix white and black sesame seeds in a deep dish.
6. Preheat air fryer to 180°C.
7. Trim bread to prawn length and roll flat with a rolling pin.
8. Spread prawn filling on bread, brush edges with egg mixture, and place a whole prawn in the center with the tail out.
9. Roll up bread, seal edges, and fill gaps with more prawn filling if needed.
10. Brush rolls with egg mixture, coat with sesame seeds, and place on baking parchment.
11. Repeat for all bread slices, air-fry for 10 minutes, and serve hot with Lee Kum Kee Sesame Chilli Sauce , Lee Kum Kee Makrut Lime Leaf Flavoured Chilli Sauce or Lee Kum Kee Yuzu Flavour Chilli Sauce .
Golden Tofu Treasure Boxes
1. Press tofu with a heavy dish for 30 minutes to remove moisture.
2. Preheat air fryer to 200°C.
3. Cut tofu into 8 cubes. Coat with a mix of mushroom powder and corn starch.
4. Place tofu in air fryer, spray with oil, and cook for 12 minutes, flipping every 4 minutes until golden.
5. Blanch stuffing vegetables in boiling water for 30 seconds, then cool in cold water. Pat dry and season with mushroom powder.
6. Cool tofu for 5 minutes, then slice ¾ through each cube.
7. Stuff tofu with vegetables and serve with Lee Kum Kee Sesame Chilli Sauce , Lee Kum Kee Makrut Lime Leaf Flavoured Chilli Sauce or Lee Kum Kee Yuzu Flavour Chilli Sauce .
