For a slow-cooked or braised Chinese meal idea, look no further than this beef short ribs recipe. All you have to do is throw all ingredients into an instant pot, there is minimal cooking involved which makes this recipe a go-to.
Turn on the instant pot to sauté mode. When it’s “hot” and ready, add in the butter and let that melt down, then add in the short ribs and sear on all sides, then remove and set on a plate.
Add in chopped garlic, fresh thyme leaves, beef stock and Lee Kum Kee Panda Brand Oyster Sauce into the pot. Then, place the ribs back in submerging them in the stock.
Take off sauté mode and set place the lid on. Seal and set to high and cook for 35 minutes and then a 15-minute steam release will occur.
After the steaming is up, turn the vent open then open the pot.
Serve the ribs over mashed potatoes with a side of garlic butter (optional).
