It's the favourite sauce from the flavoured soy sauce range, and used by many traditional Chinese and Western cooks. The treacly texture, palatable flavour and rich colour means it is perfect as a seasoning for rice and stir-fries, or as a dipping sauce for dim sum, rice rolls or dumplings.
