Lee Kum Kee #ChiuChowChewsDay Competition Full Terms and Conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”)

1. ELIGIBILITY:

1.1 This promotion is open to all individual entities who reside in UK, Ireland, Netherlands and Germany, residents aged 18 and over only, except employees of the Lee Kum Kee, their immediate families and agents, and anyone else professionally connected with the promotion.

1.2 This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with any third parties, including but not limited to Meta and TikTok. 

1.3 Maximum of 1 win per person during the promotion.

1.4 No entries from agents, third parties, organised groups, syndicates, or aliases will be accepted. Entries must be made directly by the person entering the promotion. No entries generated by Artificial Intelligence will be accepted. Only genuine, valid entries will be considered.

1.5 Lee Kum Kee reserves the right to verify all entries , game plays plus all wins and to block user accounts without warning, to refuse to award a prize, withdraw prize entitlement and/or refuse further participation in the promotion and disqualify the participant where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these Terms and Conditions or any instructions forming part of this promotions entry requirements or otherwise where a participant has gained unfair advantage in participating in the promotion or won using fraudulent means.

2.1 ABOUT THE PROMOTION

2.1.1 The promotion will run from 14 October 2024 to 15 November 2024 for UKI and NL entries & 15 November 2024 to 15 December 2024 for Germany entries inclusive and is available.

2.1.2 Maximum of one entry per account per person per platform.by submitting original recipes by tagging different Lee Kum Kee social media accounts during the promotional period.

2.1.3 All Participants who join our competition and meet the requirements subjected to clause 2.2 will have a chance to be selected.

2.1.3 Prizes available to be won in the promotion:

2.1.4 Top 40 recipes will be published in our “Chiu Chow It Cookbook”. (‘’Entry Prize’’). Content to be featured in the cookbook:

1. The original recipe
2. A professionally photographed image of each dish
3. A section about the entrant and what inspired the recipe

2.2 HOW TO ENTER:

2.2.1 Complete the following steps for a chance to win. Maximum of one entry per account per person per platform.

Step 1:

Buy Lee Kum Kee's Chiu Chow Chilli Oil (170g or 335g) 

Step 2:

Go crazy and show us the most creative way you use Chiu Chow Chilli Oil by uploading a story/post/reel on Facebook, Instagram or Tiktok.

Step 3:

UKI: Use the hashtag #ChiuChowChewsDay and tag us FB @LeeKumKeeEurope / IG & TikTok @LKKEurope

NL: Use the hashtag #ChiuChowChewsDay and tag us FB @LeeKumKeeNL / IG & TikTok @leekumkeenl

DE: Use the hashtag #ChiuChowChewsDay and tag us FB @LeeKumKeeDE / IG & TikTok @leekumkeede

Submissions with misspelt hashtags including but not limited to #ChiuChowChewsDays and #ChiuChowChewDay will also be considered eligible.

2.2.2 For a chance to win, entrants must publish the content from their public account so that Lee Kum Kee can see it during the promotion period.

2.2.3 All eligible entries must contain a valid receipt demonstrating the purchase of Chiu Chow Chilli Oil from any supermarket or Asian supermarket. Purchases must be made within the period ending on 15 November 2024 (for UKI & NL entries) or 15 December 2024. Additionally, entries should include photos or video featuring a recipe that utilizes Chiu Chow Chilli Oil.

2.2.4 All valid submission stands a chance to win the prize. Entry with the most creative recipe will be the winner of the grand prize.

2.2.5 In the event of suspicious activity, Lee Kum Kee reserves the right to gather information or obtain further evidence to confirm the legitimacy of the entry/ win.

2.3 WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT & PRIZE DELIVERY

2.3.1 Winners will be announced via Lee Kum Kee social media channels by 31 December 2024.

2.3.2 Winners will be contacted via their entry channel (Facebook, Instagram or TikTok)

2.3.3 The winners will have been requested in the email sent to provide additional information within 10 working days including their name, address, and phone number to start the verification process.

2.3.4 It is the responsibility of entrants to check junk/spam folders to ensure they are in receipt of any communications.

2.3.5 Lee Kum Kee will make reasonable efforts to contact the winners and then after successful contact, to receive the relevant information to allow fulfilment of the claim and arranging the prize dispatch.

3. DATA COLLECTION

3.1 All personal information collected in this campaign is handled in compliance with our privacy policy.

3.2 Whilst submitting your details, you may opt in to sign up for our newsletter, which you are free to unsubscribe at any time – view our privacy policy and information collection statement.

3.3 Your postal details and telephone contact number will be required upon registration and shared with the fulfilment warehouse for delivery purposes only. 

3.4 Lee Kum Kee reserves the right to use the non-personal information collected from all participants, including but not limited to comments and suggestions, for marketing purposes. They may be used for market research analysis and displayed across Lee Kum Kee's digital platforms such as social media, e-commerce and website(s).

3.5 By participating in this competition, you agree that if you are the winner, Lee Kum Kee may feature your name in promotional activities or upon request for disclosure, following the announcement.

3.6 By participating in this competition, you agree that Lee Kum Kee has the right to feature the recipe that you submitted in promotional activities or social media channels .

4. PROMOTIONAL PRIZES

4.1 Prizes are strictly non-transferable and must not be sold, auctioned nor advertised for sale whether on the internet, in newspapers or elsewhere. Any person found in breach of this term will be disqualified from participating.

4.2 No cash alternatives or other alternative prize will be available in whole or in part, except in the event of circumstances outside the reasonable control of Lee Kum Kee, whereby Lee Kum Kee reserves the right to substitute the prizes with prizes of equal or greater value.

4.3 Any request to change the prize will not be entertained.

4.4 The prize will only be awarded directly to the winner.

5. EXTRA TERMS

5.1 Subject to clause 5.2, Lee Kum Kee accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss or injury suffered by any entrant entering or as a result of accepting or participating in this promotion.

5.2 Nothing shall exclude Lee Kum Kee’s liability for death or personal injury as a result of its negligence or generally for intent as well as for gross negligence or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

5.3 Subject to clause 5.2, by participating or attempting to participate in this promotion, participants agree that Lee Kum Kee shall not bear any liability for (a) the loss, theft or misuse of any product or (b) any damage in any way attributable to this promotion or the attempted participation in this promotion.

5.4 By entering this promotion, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by this Terms and Conditions.

5.5 In all aspects of this promotion and in the event of any dispute regarding this Terms and Conditions, Lee Kum Kee’s decision shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.

5.6 Lee Kum Kee will only use the personal details supplied for the administration of the promotion and for no other purpose and will be deleted thereafter. 5.7 Lee Kum Kee reserves the right to cancel this promotion or amend this Terms and Conditions without notice in the event there is any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside Lee Kum Kee's reasonable control.

5.8 These Terms and Conditions apply to this promotion. By taking part in this promotion, you agree to be bound by them. It is a condition of participation in this promotion that all Terms and Conditions are accepted as final.

5.9 This promotion is governed by English Law and participants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
